The development of an entirely new inventory management system - BTrack™ has produced another key component to the Bytecraft Systems suite of services.
The result is not just a "we too" system but a fully customised real-time / on-line system developed in-house specifically for the gaming industry.
Fully integrated with our Call Management System, BTrack™ provides a variety of innovative front end tools that ensure that real time store, field and workshop data is accurately maintained. BTrack™ also provides effective up-to-date management access for all gaming industries, including real-time online Web access.
An effective bar-coding system enables accurate tracking of spare parts through the warehouse and the service loop, ensuring secure control of substantial assets and provides the knowledge base necessary to effectively monitor service activity.
Effective call management is critical to the service (and installation) functionality. Call management is an all-embracing term that can be dissected into a number of components, some being more critical than others.
Bytecraft has a proprietary, established and proven world class Call Management System that logs and processes all service calls. Bytecraft's BSuite™ system, which was developed specifically for the support of field maintenance, features a high reliability redundant computer system with custom call management software developed in-house by Bytecraft.
BCall™ is Bytecraft's Call Management module, which interfaces to a number of
additional modular elements including BComm™, BTrack™, BView™, BCare™ and BHive™. Bytecraft's BSuite™ system provides comprehensive performance level statistics.
The BSuite™ system generates regular reporting with real time response time stamping, repair times, duration technicians are on site and repair/fix history both internally and when utilising external suppliers. These statistics are used not only to evaluate the SLA but also to measure fault rectification times and flag recurring faults.
This service management system is the heart and soul of Bytecraft's direct control of service delivery quality. All technical staff involved in the provision of In-Venue services, be they Bytecraft or subcontractor employees, are required to utilise the BSuite™ system.
While Bytecraft's custom development of SMS technology has played a major role in the establishment of our world class call management process, we have taken the opportunity to capitalise on the imminent introduction of GPRS (Packet Radio) technology to the Australian GSM mobile network.
The major benefit of this GPRS technology is immediate on-line access to our Call Management System with economical data transfer charges replacing charge per message overheads of the SMS system.
The implementation of Bytecraft's GPRS (BComm™) will see technicians equipped with the latest Palm style mobile phones with integrated bar-code readers.

Maintaining and repairing services - servers
Since 1 July 2005, Bytecraft has worked successfully with IBM in the provision of on-site maintenance service to IBM clients.
Bytecraft currently manages the onsite warranty and repair services for low end X series servers for our client – IBM.
Our experience in server work receives a high level priority response (as negotiated with the client), and often results in Bytecraft technicians being available onsite within 4 hours.
Our maintenance and repair work in X Series Server Modules includes:
- Diagnostics – diagnostic tools, log files. Faults and problems are identified by Bytecraft technicians and parts replaced
- Disassembly/Hardware replacements – parts are installed and tested
- RAID – rebuilding arrays, drivers/firmware
- Tape tools (software for tape drives)
